| Go here for the beer! |
 |
| The Londoner |
| 100 N. Tennessee Street |
McKinney, TX 75069
|
This is as close to a British pub as you will get in Texas. Small and very friendly atmosphere. Menu is good, with some traditional British food, but also the ordinary American bar food. Prices are also friendly.
But the best thing about this place is the beer. Not only will you find some ordinary British and American beers on tap, but also beer from a local brewery in McKinney, Franconia Brewing Company, run by a german who most certainly knows his stuff.
Londoner has a Bavarian style wheat beer and a very tasty lager on tap. They are both worth every little cent. Really good beers! Don't miss them! |

The steak was tender, the drink was stiff, and the atmosphere was relaxing. A mix between classy and kicked back . . . my kinda place. :)

The best Indian food I've had in the South Bay so far. Even the daily buffet is excellent, and authentic. Very nice chef and staff too.

I'm not familiar with the area; on the way back from Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Gardens my wife and I were looking for something different. It was just what we were looking for. We went around 1 p.m., so there were no bands playing. I love the outdoor seatings and relaxed atmosphere . . . We are definitely going back again and bringing guests the next time. It was the best buffalo burgers I have had, but it was only the third time, so I am no expert.

Veggie Calzone Not Bad

I enjoyed the Veggie Calzone. I loved the idea of the tiny white potatoes as part of the ingredients. They were out of paper towels in the restroom and there was no ice tea. Just water coming out of the iced tea spicket. I can see where some people might not like the "charm" of the disheveled rockers who serve the food and take your order.
